Overview


Lucayan Technology LLC is seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our growing team in McLean, VA. As a Data Scientist with Lucayan, you will apply advanced data science techniques to extract insights from complex datasets, support mission-critical decision-making, and deliver innovative analytics for the Intelligence Community.


What You’ll Do

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large, complex datasets from diverse sources.
  • Develop and implement machine learning models, predictive analytics, and statistical algorithms.
  • Evaluate and optimize models for accuracy and scalability.
  • Communicate analytic insights and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Design visualizations, dashboards, and reports to present findings effectively.
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and mission teams to solve operational challenges.
  • Stay up to date on data science and AI/ML trends to deliver innovative solutions.


Do You Have What It Takes?


Required:
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Math, Statistics, Computer Science).
  • 3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, AI/ML, or quantitative analysis.
  • Proficiency with Python, R, SQL/PostgreSQL, GitLab.
  • Hands-on experience analyzing large-scale datasets.
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry/Gotham tools.
  • Ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical audiences.
Preferred:
  • Experience with telecommunications metadata analysis.
  • Exposure to SIGINT, counterintelligence, or cyber operations.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Spark, Kafka).
  • Experience with Agile project workflows (Scrum, Jira, Confluence).
